Where did your name come from?
I was told a very long time ago that I was named after the song in a movie. I think they said it was “in the mist of time”? But really, I found out that I had an ancestor name Laura Bell and that is who I was really named after. Once I found that out, Ancestry.com became my obsession for about 6 months. Strange things are found there…like who knew that my maternal grandmother was related to the real princess Pocahontas? Which took me down another long rabbit hole. I guess age brings interest because in my 20’s, it didn’t matter. Now, it is fun and interesting.
I’m in my 50’s, married, stepmom, Memaw, parental caregiver, power of attorney, somewhat of an entrepreneur. oh, and I have licenses like Life, Health, Long Term Care, and my securities licenses. I’m busy and like it!
I like to reinvent my wheels about every two years and not worry about who, what, or whatever else society throws my way.
Too many are uneducated about money, our systems in play, and how they work. I spend time educating those interested in how to make their retirement work. I don’t look for systems to sell, or the next best shindig….Using what is in place, watching the changes, and using what is available through traditional channels to make one’s life a little simpler when it needs to be.
I am a professional Adult Child of Parents and in-laws that need care. Yes, it should be a title, and we must discuss this situation regularly. Instead of what new dress or car or even new game, we should discuss care, decisions, and wants.
Just my honest opinion.
That’s enough about me.
